Created to meet regulatory and product traceability requirements in the pharmaceutical sector, today TIJ technology is used in the industrial packaging sector, which requires clear and legible codes, coming from simple, flexible printing systems that can be easily integrated into the packaging line.
Welljets TIJ (Thermal Ink Jet) solutions combine superior quality marking with the versatility typical of cartridge systems. They ensure fast, precise and clean high-definition printing of alphanumeric texts, logos, 2D barcodes and QR codes with heights ranging from 1 to 50,8 mm, which can be read by visual inspection devices. With a wide range of inks for porous and non-porous surfaces, they effectively meet the most diverse industrial needs.
Cartridge-based technology makes TIJ Welljets printing systems extremely cost-effective because they are virtually maintenance-free. They only require the quick and clean replacement of the cartridge, which acts as a printhead.
The training costs of technical personnel and line downtime are drastically reduced, productivity is optimised, no parts become worn and no spare parts are required, because each time the cartridge is changed the printer will have a new head.
Their small size, compact structure and high connectivity facilitate the integration of Welljets TIJ printers in any type of line. Advanced communication protocols also make them particularly suitable for remote management and operations.
